The home position is a hardware-limited position that is also referred to as machine zero. This position is found by slowly moving the gantry toward the end of travel. As it approaches the limits, it will trigger a limit switch that notifies software. These limit switches define the home position. It is from this home position that everything else is located (fixtures, tool stand locations, etc). It's a good idea to home the machine every time the electronics are turned on.

To find the home position, press the Home button to bring up a Home window. You can home an individual axis or all of them by pressing the corresponding buttons. As soon as you press one of the axis buttons, the axis will move.

Cancel exits the Home window.
