Remove the motor

To remove a motor:

• If the motor to be removed is the Z axis, Chock up the Z slide so it doesn't drop when the motor is removed.
• Lock out power to the machine.
• Disconnect all cables going to the motor

If the motor is connected to the axis by a belt:

• Unscrew the motor from the mounting plate
• Remove the motor and belt

If the motor is connected via direct shaft coupling:

• Unscrew the bolts that hold the motor to the machine via the coupling housing
• Pull the motor away from the machine
